Right Wingers RAGE Over Bluesky

dreadlordmrsonSometimes I think about joining Bluesky, but then I remember I don't really want to be part of that style of social media ecosystem any more.
I want to cultivate my presence here on Dreamwidth instead.

I read something recently-ish. Talking about how yes, a lot of women suffered and died back before Roe v. Wade, and before no-fault divorce, and other feminist policy.
But what a lot of these conservative men don't know/remember, is how many men died.
From murder.
Because their wives hated them.
I don't want these men to get what they want, but if they do, I'm not going to cry for them when they get all the consequences of it.

It is just constantly driven home to me that these sorts of people have absolutely no media literacy.
They can't process themes and messages in stories. They just have knee-jerk responses to surface level details like "uses 'body type' instead of 'male/female' in the character creator" or "has a black person in a role I don't think a black person could be in" or whatever.
A game can be dripping with leftist sentiment and they just can't see a drop of it and keep hunting for the push-buttons which have been installed in their psyches. Meanwhile a an inoffensive or even conservative sort of game mentions gender or disability or whatever and they're howling about it.
They genuinely CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE unless it hits one of their triggers.
