I'm already almost exclusively playing <$25 indie games these days. I need entertainment in my life, but that entertainment doesn't have to be the next big game. I can get on fine with smaller, cheaper games.
Or even make my own games, something I'm actively learning to do right now. I look forward to playing any of the three main game projects I have in my head more than anything a major studio is working on.
