My comment:
Rewatching this...
I find myself thinking, not for the first time, that general psychology could greatly benefit by including more autistic people in their research to compare to the non-autistic results.
Mostly I'm focusing on how I and many other autistic people already think often in non-word concepts. I mostly don't think in words. Sometimes, but they're more a tacked on layer over the top of the "actual" thoughts.
In addition, I sometimes lose my words. Not as often as some other autistic people. But I find myself opening my mouth and just. The thoughts. They are not translating into language suddenly. I'm still thinking but the ideas aren't making it across the gap into language.

I think there's information being missed here that would be interesting to look into.
I don't know what neuroscientists are up to these days but I hope a few of them are thinking "but how would our experiments be changed by the effects of autism?"
